Raised in a first-fill sherry cask, this 12-year-old Edradour named Caledonia is very well made! And for good reason, it is signed by Dougie MacLean, famous singer of Scotland.
Tasting notes:
Dress: Gold with copper highlights.
Nose: Frank on the sherry. Marked by spices, clove. Fresh note of pine resin. It opens with more animal notes of leather. He becomes more greedy on coffee and dark chocolate. Fruity notes of strawberry and prune. Citrus, lemon. Back on the wood and zan. Pastry side.
Palace: Concentrated, very rich. Evokes black licorice, the coffee bean. It becomes more fruity on citrus fruits, orange. Precise note of honey and cocoa powder. A basket of spices, cinnamon.
Finale: Fresh, on mint, white fruit. Ends on malted barley. Without any trace of bitterness.
