¤ The Scapa Distillery is one of two distilleries located on Orkney, Scotland's most northerly location for the production and aging of malt whiskey.
¤ Scotch whiskey is aged and stored in the ultimate "changing" Scottish climate near the sea.
¤ With only two small stills, the malt is very limited (360,000 liters of alcohol per year).

¤ Single fermentation process: very long (> 100 h). This process encourages the production of a very pure and light alcohol.
¤ Use of the 'Lomond' wash still for the first distillation to produce a lighter alcohol.
¤ Its malted barley is not peated to avoid smothering delicate flavors and aromas.
¤ Aging in bourbon casks gives vanilla hints with a slightly salty hint as stored in giving warehouses near the sea.
Tasting notes:

Dress: Rich coppery gold

Nose: Smooth and velvety, with aromas of sweet clementine and heather honey.

Palate: Perfectly balanced and rich, with a hint of ginger and the sweetness of baked apples.

Finish: Rich, persistent, very slightly dry, with a hint of marine accent.
