YAMAZAKI: where it all started in 1923. Worthy pioneer of Japanese single malts, Yamazaki celebrates subtlety, complexity and refinement.

Founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii, the founder of Suntory, YAMAZAKI is the first and oldest distillery in Japan. Inspired by traditional Scottish whiskey, Torii's vision was to stand out from the start by choosing a soil and climate completely different from those of Scotland to create a new type of whiskey. Thus Yamazaki was the cradle of Japanese Whiskey.

Tasting notes:

Dress: Amber

Nose: Smooth and slightly smoky, with aeration reveals precise aromas of fresh grass and wildflowers.

Palate: Ample develops on ripe fruit (apple, plum) on a background of floral notes and smoked malted barley.

Finale: Also fruity gives a pleasant sensation of freshness.
