🥃 The Macallan Amber belongs to The Macallan 1824 Series, a range designed to showcase the natural colour of the whiskies, with each expression becoming progressively deeper in hue and more complex in character. No colouring is added: all the rich amber tone and flavour come from carefully selected oak casks.

These oak casks 🛢️, crafted by hand and mainly sourced from northern Spain, are seasoned with sherry before maturing the spirit. This meticulous approach to wood management gives Amber its warm colour and richly layered fruity and spicy profile.

In the glass, the whisky shows a beautiful bright amber colour.

On the nose, it is soft and floral, with citrus notes, hints of raisins and cinnamon, lifted by aromas of caramelised apples and candy floss.

On the palate, green apples and lemons mingle with cinnamon, while subtle ginger and oak flavours appear in the background. The texture is smooth and silky, balancing fruity sweetness with spice and gentle oak.

The finish is slightly dry and fairly light, with flavours of red fruits and malted cereals. The Macallan Amber is a graceful sipping whisky, delicious neat or with a splash of water, and pairs nicely with red fruit desserts, apple tart or caramel-based sweets.
