Lagavulin belongs to the famous 'Classic Malts' clan, the series launched in 1988 and which also includes Dalwhinnie, Cragganmore, Glenkinchie, Oban and Talisker. Lagavulin is the most intense, the most smoky and richest of the Classic Malts.
Tasting notes:
Dress: Amber gold
Nose: Intense smoked peat, seaweed with iodized touches. Rich and profoundly sweet.
Palate: Start sweet, slightly fruity, quickly smoked with flavors of biscuits and marshmallows. A grain of salt, pepper and wheat. Chaleureux and intense.
Nose: Solid and elegant, with hints of dried fruit, hints of smoke and malty barley flavors.
Meals: Blue cheeses with an intense salty: Roquefort, Stilton, Gorgonzola matured
