🥃 Michel Couvreur Pale Single Single is a distinctive Single Malt with a “pale” profile designed to keep the whisky fresh and floral, while still delivering the roundness and complexity you expect from a mature spirit.

This release is also a Single Cask, aged for over 12 years in 🛢️ oak casks only lightly influenced by wine—low in tannins and deliberately restrained. The challenge (and the success) is to build maturity without heavy woody or drying notes, preserving a clean, vibrant malt character.

In the glass, it shows a pale, opalescent hue. The nose is vigorous, fruity and subtly iodine/coastal. On the palate it is lively and powerful, with a dense feel, bright tension and a saline edge — keeping the energetic freshness of younger malts, but with extra depth from extended ageing.
House tip: serve it slightly chilled to highlight its precision and brisk, floral freshness.
