Among the new guard of Burgundy winegrowers, which has been emerging for a good decade, is Frédéric Roblot in Chambolle-Musigny. Heir to a winegrower line present on these lands since 1910, he gradually abandoned the sale of wines to the trade operated by his parents, to bottle them to the estate. On its eight hectares, it seeks to produce wines that drink, accessible from their youth or keep a decade at most. In addition to Chambolle Villages and Premier Cru, he produces other wines, including an excellent Burgundy Hautes Côtes de Nuits.
The wines have discrete tannins, all flesh and mellows; they are accompanied by a just acidity that injects tension. With a great elegance of fruit (hints of cherry, strawberry ...), the wines evolve with time on more wild shades and nice accents of undergrowth.
