In 630, a Côte de Nuits winemaker named Bertin decided to plant Pinot Noir on his land, copying the practices of neighboring monks. The result was spectacular and the wine of the "Bertin's Field" became famous and inspired the name of the village. We find beautiful ruby colors so characteristic of Pinot Noir. The bouquets are expressive, clean, pure, in the register of small red fruits. Harvesting is done manually, the aging is done in barrels of which 20% of new barrels during a period of 14 to 18 months.
