🥃 Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair is a distinctive Islay single malt: unpeated yet proudly maritime, drawing much of its character from the sea and from sherry cask maturation. Its name means “helmsman” or “director” in Gaelic, reflecting the figure guiding the distillery’s ship. Bottled at 46.3% ABV, it delivers both richness and balance.

On the nose, Stiùireadair is delicate and layered, with dried fruits (apricots, raisins), vanilla, caramel, toffee and a light touch of spice. A subtle coastal influence adds a fresh, iodine note that firmly anchors it on Islay.

The palate is creamy and full-bodied. Dried fruits and vanilla are joined by flavours of nuts, salted caramel, gentle sweet spices such as cinnamon and ginger. The finish is long and persistent, slightly bittersweet, with lingering fruity and spicy notes that keep the whisky lively and moreish.
