Only 600 bottles of the Glenfiddich 40 Years Single Malt Whiskey have been bottled in the world. The malt master carefully selects individual barrels before marrying each other with what was left of the previous 40-year-old barrel. This continuous process is known as 'leftover casing' and includes whiskeys that are at least 40 years old. Glenfiddich is the only Scottish single malt whiskey in the industry to use residual casks. Its uniquely rich and deep flavor was named 'Best of the Best' single malt by Whiskey Magazine in 2003, and it won the Trophy in both the ISC and the IWSC in 2008 (the first time a whiskey was both in the same year) and Best Single Malt at the ISC in 2010.
