Glenrothes 1998 received a Silver Medal San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2011.
Glenrothes is a whiskey distillery located in Rothes in the Speyside region. She has been producing her unique single malt for over 130 years. This distillery in the Speyside area is known for its delicate whiskey with hints of honey.
Glenrothes 1998
1998 is the next key vintage of the distillery, after the 1991 and 1994 vintages. It marks the arrival of the new Distiller's Distillery Master, Gordon Motion. The aging in oak barrels develops the characteristic aromas of The Glenrothes: ripe fruit, creamy vanilla and complex spice notes.
Tasting notes:
Dress: Bright and clear gold.
Nose: Rich and spicy vanilla, lemongrass, red sugar syrup.
Palate: Sweet, mature and sweet vanilla with a hint of cinnamon.
Finish: Sweet, long, rich with vanilla.
