π₯ Silkie Dark is a softly peated Irish blend, as alluring as the legendary βSilkiesβ β seal-like creatures from the Donegal coast who became irresistible women dancing on the silvery beach under the full moon. Bottled at 46% ABV in 75cl, it delivers peat with charm and finesse.
On the nose, fresh apples and pears, a touch of spice, fairly dry smoke and hints of new oak.
The palate shows the houseβs trademark roundness: rich salted butter caramel, pipe tobacco, liquorice and dark chocolate, before a return of juicy pear and toffee sweetness.
