Champagne Drappier Grande Sendrée - 2012 - (75cl) - La Grande Sendrée is one of the house's prestige cuvées. It takes its name from a plot that was covered with ashes after the fire that ravaged Urville in 1838. A spelling error having slipped into the recopying of the cadastre, Sendrée is written today with an "s" and not a "c". This cuvée ages for seven years on slats. The dosage is 5g/L. On the nose, it is particularly fruity, expressing a range of aromas that combine dried fruits, citrus fruits, white-fleshed fruits, but also beeswax, hawthorn and honey. On the palate, a very nice balance is discovered, a delicate minerality and beautiful bitterness with notes of mandarin.
