This VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) Calvados from Pays d’Auge is aged for at least 5 years in oak casks, around 25% of which are new barrels. A high-end, elegant spirit selected by vins-fins.be for demanding enthusiasts and luxury gifting in Brussels and throughout Belgium.

🌿 Craft & ageing
Cider apples are blended, crushed and pressed. The juice is fully fermented to obtain a dry cider ready for distillation.
About six months later, a double distillation is carried out:

• the first run of the cider produces a low wine at around 30% vol.,

• the second distillation of this low wine yields Calvados Dupont VSOP, which is then aged for several years in 400 L toasted oak casks, including a proportion of new wood, before being bottled to order.

🍏 Tasting notes:

• 👁 Appearance: clear, bright golden colour.

• 👃 Nose: intense yet smooth, with notes of toasted oak, liquorice, vanilla sugar and fresh white fruit.

• 👄 Palate: soft, gentle entry with juicy apple flavours; the empty glass reveals hints of vanilla, sweet almond and hay.
