If Petrus fascinates fans all over the world, we must first find the reasons for its majestic soil: composed of deep clays with high iron content, it is as programmed to give birth to the largest merlots (100% of the encépagement). The vineyard receives maximum sunshine, located 40 meters above sea level at the highest point of the famous plateau of Pomerol. After three years of work, the cru offers a brand new cellar, an exceptional construction signed by the architect Jean-Pierre Errath.

The 11.5 hectares of vines in one piece are cultivated in a traditional way, just like the winemaking conducted by oenologist Olivier Berrouet in the same vein as his father before him. They are fenced by aging in new oak barrels, without forcing to respect the fruit. The very limited production volume - barely 2,500 cases per year - reinforces the extreme rarity of Petrus wine.

With a singular profile, halfway between firmness and voluptuousness, between reserve and wealth, Petrus delivers in all its dimensions: breadth, length and dazzling depth, with inimitable nuances of truffle. Endowed with a tannic support and an exceptional freshness of fruit, it is armed for an almost unlimited aging.
