🥃 - Belgian single malt distilled from Gouden Carolus Tripel, bourbon matured then finished in Het Anker casks, rich, fruity and creamy.

🥃 Gouden Carolus Single Malt is a 50cl Belgian single malt whisky bottled at 46% vol., crafted by Distillery De Molenberg in the Antwerp region. This unique whisky is distilled from the wort of the famous Gouden Carolus Tripel beer, creating a direct bridge between the Het Anker brewery and the distillery. The spirit is produced in hand-hammered copper pot stills, making De Molenberg the first distillery in Belgium to use this type of traditional equipment.

The whisky is initially matured for 3 years in bourbon casks

🛢️, before receiving an additional 6-month finish in special “Het Anker” oak casks, which add depth, structure and a distinctive house character.

In the glass, the golden colour with amber highlights hints at its generous profile. On the nose, fruity aromas are complemented by notes of vanilla and oak. The palate is rich, balanced and smooth, offering flavours of ripe fruit, vanilla and crème brûlée, all wrapped in a silky texture. The finish is pleasant and slightly floral, with lingering fruit and gentle oak notes.
