Dos Maderas 5 + 3 rum matures for 8 years (70cl
in bourbon and whiskey casks and finishes in sherry casks. He rests for 5 years in the Caribbean and is then transported to Spain, in Jerez, where he rests for a period of 3 years. This particular two-step process gives the result of a unique rum with incomparable aromas and flavors.
Medals obtained:
- Bronze medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in 2012.
- Silver medal at the Ministry of Rum toasting Competition in 2008.
Tasting notes:
- Color: Amber.
- Nose: Sweetness and elegance. Rich with aromas of pecan, vanilla and smoked oak.
- Palate: Balanced with notes of ripe fruit and tropical spices.
- Finale: Smoked oak, tobacco and touches of sherry.
How to taste it: Pure, with some ice cubes or cocktail.
