This pretty Pomerol cru is located on the southern slope of the famous plateau of the appellation, on the edge of Libourne, on a soil of sands and gravel rich in iron scum.

Acquired by Antoine Moueix in 1923, Château Taillefer is now run by Claire Moueix, a talented young winemaker who represents the last generation on this family-owned crop. The 12 hectares of vines are composed of 85% Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Soft and delicate, Taillefer's wines have beautiful tannins, with fruity notes dominated by fresh blackcurrant. They have a good perspective of custody but can also appreciate in their early years.
