Rum Zacapa Sistema Solera - 70cl
Zacapa Sistema Solera rum is the result of a special blend of old rums (añejos) and sweet rums. This rum is aged using the technique of "sistema solera", which consists of assembling rums of different ages and profiles which are then aged successively in three barrels. The first have kept American whiskeys, the second sherry and the last barrels of Pedro Ximénez wines.
The hand-woven palm leaf wrapping makes it easy to identify this rum, a beautiful illustration of the finest and most delicate Guatemalan craftsmanship.
Tasting notes:
- Color: Mahogany clear.
- Nose: Aromas of caramel, vanilla and cocoa accompanied by notes from the barrels used such as notes of Brazil nuts, hazelnut sherry and banana caramelized bourbon casks.
- Mouth: Complex and rich. Fruity flavors (grapes and apricots), vanilla and coffee.
- Finale: Spicy touch of cinnamon and ginger.
