Pol Roger Cuvée Winston Churchill 1999 (75cl)

A tribute to the British statesman who was an absolute fan of the Sparnatian brand, the Sir Winston Churchill 2006 vintage from Pol Roger is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir classified as grand cru. In its 1999 vintage, this vintage has a deep gold color with copper highlights. Its effervescence is extremely fine.

On the nose, the Sir Winston Churchill 1999 Pol Roger vintage offers gourmet notes of fresh brioche and dried fruits, then evolves after a few moments towards more intense flavors of anise and citrus fruits, followed by a more musky touch.

On the palate, after a fresh and pleasant attack, we discover an ample, slightly vinous wine, which coats the palate. The very elegant mineral structure carries the aromas and refreshes the palate. The finish is long, stretching into a chalky and almost saline note. A very great vintage.
