Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a French red wine Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) wine produced in the commune of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Vaucluse department of Provence. It is considered one of the most prestigious red wines of France.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is produced from a blend of grapes, including grenache (at least 30%), syrah (at least 12%), mourvèdre (at least 10%), vaccarèse (at least 5%), cinsault (at least 2%), counoise (at least 1%), muscardin (up to 1%), terret noir (up to 1%) and picpoul (up to 1%).

The wine is vinified in stainless steel or oak barrels, and then aged for at least twelve months in oak barrels. It is then bottled and can be consumed after a few years of aging.
