1.90 hectare on 3 parcels planted in 1919, Le Chambertin is unquestionably the largest cru of the appellation. All the big names are here! In the plot of Trapet, the bottom is composed of limestone marl and clay. Above, more limestone and marl giving wines of a complexity and a unique style.
The nose of this vintage 1996 has arrived at full maturity on this exceptional vintage where the leather aromas, of cigar box begin to slightly truffles. The mouth is balanced between power and elegance in a depth rarely equaled. Fabulous length for this mythical vintage!
