About Glen Grant
Glen Grant is now recognized as "one of the great malts".
Its creation dates back to 1840 when brothers John and James Grant were the first to obtain a license in the Highlands to build a distillery.
A local legend has it that the people of Rothes invented a scheme to divert some of the whiskey to their benefit by taking it directly on the pipeline between the two Glen Grant distilleries ...
In April 2013, the distillery opened a new bottling plant. Glen Grant is the only Speyside distillery to bottle all its products on site.
In addition to the Glen Grant Single Malt 10YO, Glen Grant's Major's Reserve is also available. This young variant is the best way to get to know the world of single malt because of its sweetness and its price.
Tasting notes:

Dress: Rich, amber barley.

Nose: Medium to dry, good balance of ripe fruit from the orchard.

Palate: Intense, fruity.

Finish: Sweet and persistent in the mouth, with notes of almond.
