a classified champagne

Since 1895, in the silence, the darkness and the humidity of its cellars, De Castellane raises great champagnes which, by their perfume, their dress, their body, speak to our senses.
The subtle marriage of chardonnays with pinots, fresh and light young wines with ample and powerful reserve wines, patient waiting for maturity in the cellar, bring elegance and finesse, colors and aromas that seduce the look, nose, mouth.
De Castellane is thus the champagne of lovers of beauty and goodness, the champagne of epicureans.

The Brut Croix Rouge expresses the “De Castellane style”, a subtle marriage of class and pleasure. It reflects the oenologists' attachment to the House's tradition of quality and illustrates their know-how in expressing, with consistency over the years, the richness and finesse of its style.
A balanced blend of three Champagne grape varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier), its regularity is guaranteed by the addition of around 15% reserve wines. The crus that compose it and its aging in the cellar for more than 24 months are the source of its freshness and its structure.
The Brut Croix Rouge is ideal for a stylish aperitif or for a long festive evening. During a meal, it will highlight the simplest dishes such as Parma ham with melon, or chicken with morels, and will elegantly highlight the finest dishes.

History:
Champagne De Castellane bears the name of one of the oldest families in France, whose origins date back to the 10th century with the Counts of Arles and Provence.
It was in 1895 that Viscount Florens De Castellane established his House in Epernay. An early communicator, he chose the red Saint-André Cross as the emblem of his brand, in homage to the standard of the oldest Champagne regiment.
Quickly, De Castellane became the champagne of the Belle Epoque celebrations for all of Paris.

De Castellane is established in Epernay, Capital of Champagne, in an imposing building listed in the inventory of historical monuments.
Its size makes it possible to house all of the House's technical facilities on a single site: the hundred or so vats housing the musts of the harvest, the 9 kilometers of cellars where our wines are aged, up to the sophisticated packaging lines. .
66 meters high, the De Castellane tower offers those who climb its 237 steps a unique panorama of Epernay and the vineyards of the Marne valley.
Each year, several tens of thousands of visitors come from France and elsewhere to admire the De Castellane cellars.
